Making Disciples Who Make Disciples

At Poplar Heights, we believe that children are special to God.
It is our desire to provide children with an exciting atmosphere in which they will learn to love God and want to live for Him.
Sunday School meets each Sunday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. In Sunday School, we pray, sing, play games and learn from the Bible.  Classes for children include:

                                                                        Nursery to Age 2
 Age 3 to Pre-Kindergarten
 Kindergarten to Grade 2
Grade 3 to Grade 5

During the Sunday Morning Worship Service, there is childcare available for children ages newborn through pre-K. During this time there is a short lesson and the kids have some play time.
Children from Kindergarten through 5th grade are able to participate in The Gospel Project Kids Worship. They will be dismissed to Kids Worship during our worship service. Parents can pick them up downstairs in our Children's Ministry area following the service.
On Wednesday nights at 6pm we have a unique ministry for our children called The Legacy Service. The Bible teaches us that it's each generations responsibility and calling to pass on the good news of who God is an what He has done to the next generation. At The Legacy Service we put multi-generational discipleship into practice as kids and adults gather around tables in our Fellowship Hall to grow together. Our goal is to connect as many adults in ministry with our children as possible.

The children of Poplar Heights are very busy during the year. Together, they participate in fun activities such as camp, skating, movie nights in the ROC, Vacation Bible School, Pumpkin Patch in the fall, etc.
Just as Jesus said, "Let the children come." You and your children are welcome!  We've got some exciting new plans in the works for our kids, and we want you and your family to be a part of it. Please come join what the Lord is doing in and through children at Poplar Heights!
